Church Life
Our Rhythms & Events
The rhythm of church life
As a church, we believe that every moment of every day is an opportunity to know and to follow God. But we have some rhythms and structures in place to help us with that. This is a summary of that, and there’s more information about some of it below. Every part of this is open to everyone, so if you’d like to join in, let us know!
DAILY – living for Jesus
Every day, we see to put into action the faith we have in Jesus, to be his disciples where we are with the people around us.
WEEKLY – meeting together
The weekly life of our church is the place where we come together to read the Bible, worship God, pray and spur each other on. So every week we gather together to do those things. Most weeks that is on a Sunday morning, but once a month (the 2nd Sunday of the month) is in the afternoons for our monthly ‘Crossroads’ all age church event.
MONTHLY – gather… and go!
On one weekend of the month (the 4th Sunday), we do things differently. We still gather together in the morning at church, but then we look for ways to get out in our local communities to be a blessing. It might be walking dogs for local people, litter picking, offering to pray for people, or chatting to people about their lives and experiences. While some get out and about, others stay to pray, then we all come back together to share what we've been up to.
